چکیده

We consider the stochastic Ginzburg-Landau equation in a bounded domain. We assume the stochastic forcing acts only on high spatial frequencies. The low-lying frequencies are then only connected to this forcing through the non-linear (cubic) term of the Ginzburg-Landau equation. Under these assumptions, we show that the stochastic PDE has a unique invariant measure. The techniques of proof combine a controllability argument for the low-lying frequencies with an infinite dimensional version of the Malliavin calculus to show positivity and regularity of the invariant measure. This then implies the uniqueness of that measure.

Approximation of the invariant measure with an Euler scheme for Stochastic PDE's driven by Space-Time White Noise

In this article, we consider a stochastic PDE of parabolic type, driven by a space-time white-noise, and its numerical discretization in time with a semi-implicit Euler scheme. When the nonlinearity is assumed to be bounded, then a dissipativity assumption is satisfied, which ensures that the SDPE admits a unique invariant probability measure, which is ergodic and strongly mixing with exponenti...

Uniqueness of Solutions of the Stochastic Navier–stokes Equation with Invariant Measure given by the Enstrophy

A stochastic Navier–Stokes equation with space-time Gaussian white noise is considered, having as infinitesimal invariant measure a Gaussian measure µν whose covariance is given in terms of the enstrophy. Pathwise uniqueness for µν-a.e. initial velocity is proven for solutions having µν as invariant measure. 1. Introduction. We are interested in the stochastic Navier–Stokes equation with a spac...

Existence and Uniqueness of Invariant Measures for SPDEs with Two Reflecting Walls

In this article, we study stochastic partial differential equations with two reflecting walls h and h, driven by space-time white noise with non-constant diffusion coefficients under periodic boundary conditions. The existence and uniqueness of invariant measures is established under appropriate conditions. The strong Feller property is also obtained.

Exponential mixing for the 3D stochastic Navier–Stokes equations

We study the Navier-Stokes equations in dimension 3 (NS3D) driven by a noise which is white in time. We establish that if the noise is at same time sufficiently smooth and non degenerate in space, then the weak solutions converge exponentially fast to equilibrium. We use a coupling method. The arguments used in dimension two do not apply since, as is well known, uniqueness is an open problem fo...
